Day 7 of 7 Days, 7 Cookie Recipes — Orange Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Bright citrus meets rich chocolate in this bakery-style cookie.
We're ending the series with a flavour combination that never disappoints. Fresh orange zest and juice bring a vibrant freshness that cuts through the richness of the chocolate, creating a cookie that's both indulgent and refreshing.
What makes this work
Orange and chocolate are a classic pairing for a reason. The fresh zest provides fragrant citrus oils while the juice adds brightness that balances the deep cocoa flavour.
A few things before you start
Use freshly grated orange zest for the best flavour. Chilling the dough is essential because the added moisture from the juice can make the cookies spread too much.
