Note
Ingredients
For the Filling
10–12 samosa sheets
½ cup onion, finely chopped
½ cup capsicum, finely chopped
¼ cup sweet corn
2 tbsp jalapeños, chopped
¼ cup black olives, sliced
½ cup grated paneer
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
3 tbsp pizza sauce
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp chilli flakes
Salt, to taste
2 tbsp melted butter
For Sealing
2 tbsp maida
3 tbsp water (to make a thick slurry)
How to Make Crispy Air Fryer Pizza Pockets
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, capsicum, sweet corn, jalapeños, black olives, grated paneer, mozzarella, pizza sauce, oregano, chilli flakes, and salt.
Mix everything together until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the pizza sauce.
Step 2: Shape the Pizza Pockets
Fold each samosa sheet into a cone.
Fill each cone with 2–3 tablespoons of the pizza filling, making sure not to overfill.
Seal the open edges using the prepared maida slurry, pressing firmly so the filling stays inside while cooking.
Step 3: Brush with Butter
Generously brush both sides of each pizza pocket with melted butter. This helps create a beautifully crisp and golden exterior.
Step 4: Air Fry
Preheat your air fryer if required.
Air fry the pizza pockets at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they're evenly golden brown and perfectly crispy.
Serve immediately while the cheese is still melted and gooey.
Tips for the Perfect Pizza Pockets
Don't overfill the samosa sheets, or they may tear while sealing.
Seal the edges well with the maida slurry to prevent the cheese from leaking out.
Brush generously with butter for the crispiest texture.
Flip halfway through cooking so both sides become evenly golden.
Serve immediately for the best cheese pull.
My Favourite Way to Enjoy Them
These pizza pockets are best enjoyed straight out of the air fryer with plenty of pizza sauce, garlic mayo, or spicy chipotle dip on the side. Sometimes I sprinkle a little extra oregano and chilli flakes over the top just before serving for that authentic pizzeria flavour. Pair them with a cold drink, and you've got the ultimate snack for movie nights, game nights, or whenever a pizza craving strikes.
